Terms

Terms for using Puddle.

These terms describe the baseline rules for customers, candidates, and visitors using Puddle's AI-assisted structured interview and review workflow.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

Service Description

Puddle provides tools for customers to configure hiring rubrics, invite candidates, conduct AI-assisted structured interviews, record and transcribe sessions, and review candidate materials, including rubric scores, rankings, and recommendations where configured.

Puddle outputs are decision-support materials. Customers are responsible for their hiring criteria, notices, consents, accommodations, human review, employment decisions, and compliance obligations.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Use Puddle only with lawful, job-related hiring criteria.
  • Provide any candidate notices, consents, disclosures, accommodations, bias-audit materials, or alternative processes required by applicable law.
  • Maintain appropriate human review and do not treat AI-assisted scores, rankings, recommendations, or other outputs as the sole basis for employment decisions.
  • Avoid using Puddle to infer or act on protected characteristics or non-job-related traits.
  • Keep account credentials secure and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Candidate Participation Guidelines

Candidates should provide accurate information, avoid impersonation, and follow the instructions shown before and during the interview.

Candidates may contact Puddle or the hiring company if they need accommodation, cannot use the interview room, or want to understand how interview data will be handled.

Prohibited Uses

  • Using Puddle outputs as the sole basis to reject, select, advance, or make employment decisions without required human review.
  • Using Puddle to evaluate protected characteristics, facial expression, emotion, appearance, disability, race, gender, age, accent, zip code, or other protected or non-job-related traits.
  • Uploading unlawful, infringing, malicious, or deceptive content.
  • Attempting to bypass security controls, access another customer's data, or disrupt the service.

Data and AI Outputs

Customers retain responsibility for customer-provided content, role rubrics, candidate materials, reviewer notes, scores, rankings, recommendations, and hiring decisions. Puddle may process that content to provide, secure, support, and improve the service as described in customer agreements and privacy notices.

Puddle does not use customer content or candidate interview data to train general-purpose AI models unless expressly authorized in the applicable customer agreement or consent.

AI outputs can be incomplete or incorrect. Customers should verify outputs against the recording, transcript, rubric, and other relevant evidence before relying on them.

Disclaimers and Limits

Puddle is provided for structured interview operations and evidence review. It is not legal advice, employment advice, or a guarantee of hiring outcomes.

Additional commercial terms, data processing terms, service levels, security commitments, and order-form terms may apply to customers who buy or pilot Puddle.
